Stalls

stall3.jpg (22879 bytes)Course Brook Farm was run as a dairy farm for nearly 50 years. After sandblasting the entire barn 10 years ago, we are doing a complete stall-by-stall rehabilitation. Whether it be adding pressure treated lumber underneath the mat, replacing the rubber mat itself, fixing the door frames or sanding the trim work, each stall in the entire barn is being transformed.  Our October 2009 goal is to have every stall completely done.

The stall areas are spread out in subsections of 3, 4, 7 and 11 stalls...erasing any "large barn" feeling.

All the barns and indoor arena have a connecting intercom system for safety and convenience...and separate stereo systems for pleasure.

In addition to the stall makeovers, we keep your horse comfortable with a clean environment.  Each day, the stalls are cleaned where the rubber mat is swept exposing all urine spots, limed heavily, and left to absorb all wetness areas and amonia for 5 minutes before re-bedding. Barn walls and ceilings are swept down and de-cobwebbed every week, and stall bars are cleaned once per month.
